Hospital Veterinarian - Dr. Jamey Erjavec

Dr Jamey Erjavec was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She completed three years of her undergrad at Acadia University before moving to PEI to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at AVC.

Her special interests in veterinary medicine include all types of surgery and end of life care. When not working at the hospital, Jamey is usually enjoying the company of her three cats, Bubba, Pig, and Bill, and her cocker spaniel, Tim Riggins.

Hospital Veterinarian - Dr Samantha Wambolt-Way

Dr. Samm’s love for animals has been lifelong; From the time she was a little girl, she dreamed of the day that she could wear the white coat and save animals. She has always been driven to make a positive impact on the lives of both pets and their people.

Beginning her veterinary career at the Dalhousie University Agricultural Campus, in Truro, Nova Scotia, she completed a two year Pre-Veterinary Medicine program and later obtained a four year Bachelor of Animal Science degree. She was accepted to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program in 2012, where she then obtained the four year Veterinary Medicine degree.

Dr. Samm has received certification in both Human Animal Bond and Fear-Free training, and will often use positive reinforcement and an individualized patient approach during examinations to provide as much of a fear-free experience as she can. With a passion for preventative medicine and public education, she also has interests in palliative and end-of-life care. She loves all of her patients dearly and loves receiving photos of them; She keeps every card, photo and gift received from clients, as they serve as a constant reminder for why she does what she does.

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Samm loves spending time with her husband Michael and their son Weldon. She can often be found sea-glass hunting and attending fun community events with her family. Dr. Samm has two dogs, a Shih Tzu mix named Maesie and a Golden Retriever named Ripley. She also has a very senior and rescued soul-cat named Millie whose quirks include loving strawberry twizzlers!

Hospital Veterinarian - Dr. Amanda Estabrooks

Dr Amanda Estabrooks was born and raised in Lawrencetown, NS. She graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2008 after which she practiced in Southwestern Ontario for 13 years before returning home to Atlantic Canada in 2021. She has worked in both emergency and general practice and has a special interest in surgery and infectious disease. She is certified in Low Stress Handling and will always try her best to ensure every visit is a positive experience for her patients. In her free time she enjoys reading, hiking, archery and spending time with her family.

Hospital Manager - Bobbi

Bobbi has been working in vet med since 2009. She has one cat named Thomas. She was born and raised in Chester, NS. She enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew, painting, and books.

Meet Alice

Alice was born in North West River, Newfoundland and Labrador. Her love and passion for animals and their wellbeing’s led her to follow a career within veterinary medicine. She graduated from the veterinary technology program at Dalhousie in May 2024 where her enthusiasm grew for clinical pathology, anesthesia and patient care. She enjoys counselling clients and sharing the knowledge she has learned while continuing to grow within the industry. Alice has a cat named Magnus, who she rescued when she moved to Nova Scotia for school in 2021. Outside of work, she takes joy in horseback riding or curling up on the couch to read a book.

Meet Bryanna

Bryanna was born and raised in Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia and graduated from the veterinary technician program at Dalhousie in June 2025. Her special interests as a technician are anesthesia and end of life care. Outside of work she likes to paddle board, camp and spend time with her 2 dogs Maya and Kane.

Meet Madison

Maddie is a registered veterinary technician from Hammonds Plains who graduated from Oulton College in 2015. With a special interest in exotic animals, she is passionate about providing care to a wide variety of species. Outside the clinic, Maddie shares a home with her three beloved cats and enjoys horseback riding and fishing in her spare time.

Meet Dr. Heather Mosher

Dr. Mosher grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Her passion for animal health lead her to the Nova Scotia Agricultural College where she earned a B.Sc. in Animal Sciences. From there she completed her goal of becoming a veterinarian at the Atlantic Veterinary College, class of 1998.

Dr. Mosher enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine and soft tissue surgery. She has a special interest in oral health. She has a conviction that oral pain is the greatest chronic pain our pets endure and manages this through both prevention and treatment.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Mosher is an avid cyclist and swimmer. She also enjoys spending time with her family, her 2 cats Sparkle and Luke and her 2 dogs Bruin and Ruger.

Meet David Allan

David has a background in business ownership and management. He has enjoyed the operation of a previous veterinary hospital as well as a pet boarding and dog training facility.

He is the co-owner of Herring Cove Vet Hospital and Dr. Mosher’s husband.

Originally from Saint John, NB, he spends his spare time cycling, swimming, boating, or spending time with his daughter.
